Cultural awareness is a key component of the undergraduate business programs. In this presentation we discuss how to introduce, develop, and assess a level of cultural awareness among business students through a project "Virtual Business Trip to a Foreign Country" fostering research of such topics as the way business is conducted in different countries, experiencing various payment systems, avoiding communication embarrassment in marketing campaigns, and understanding how purchase decisions are made in various value systems. Our approach is intended to provide an opportunity to assess the international awareness content. We hope that the information would be useful not only to educators in the business field, but also to everyone willing to increase their cultural competence.
