Title: Leadership in the Age of Remote Work: Trends, Themes, and Future Directions

Author(s) : Alycia Harris

Although telecommuting has existed for decades, there has been a significant increase in research in this area following the pandemic. This study uses bibliometric analysis to explore the evolving body of literature at the intersection of leadership and remote work. Using data from Web of Science and SCOPUS, the analysis provides valuable insights into keywords often associated with this research, influential researchers, and key collaborations, which together give insights into the state of the literature in this area. Different themes have emerged over time in the literature related to leadership style and remote work, representing both the impact of COVID-19 and shifting interests in business and leadership research. The most recent research has emphasized engagement, empowerment, and well-being. The bibliometric analysis provides a foundation for understanding the state of the literature and a foundation for future research.
